BlueprintHQ ("we", "us", "our") is a construction blueprint sharing application operated by Tri County AI Solutions LLC, a limited liability company organized in Illinois, USA. You can reach us at hello@getblueprinthq.com.

2. What This Covers

This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect personal information when you:

• Visit our website at getblueprinthq.com
• Use the BlueprintHQ web app at app.getblueprinthq.com
• Use the BlueprintHQ iOS or Android mobile app
• Communicate with us by email or other means

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address
• Full name
• Password (stored as a one-way hash — we never see it in plain text)
• Company name, address, and phone (optional, for your business profile)
• Your role within your company (Designer, Architect/Engineer, General Contractor, Sub-Contractor, Field/Labor)

3.2 Content You Upload

BlueprintHQ stores the content you create or upload:

• Blueprints (PDFs, images, scanned documents)
• Project information (job address, builder, dates, descriptions)
• Comments, markups, and annotations on blueprints
• Notifications and activity logs related to your projects
• Photos taken using the in-app camera scanner

You retain ownership of all content you upload. We use it solely to provide the service to you and the people you've invited to your projects.

3.3 Usage and Device Information

Like most apps, we automatically collect basic technical information:

• Device type, operating system, app version
• IP address (used for security and abuse prevention)
• Approximate location based on IP (city/region — never GPS without permission)
• Pages or screens visited within the app, actions taken (used to improve the product)
• Crash reports and error logs

3.4 Camera, Photos, and Permissions

If you use the blueprint scanner, the app accesses your device camera to capture an image. The image is uploaded to your project storage and is never shared with anyone outside your project team. You can revoke camera permissions in your device settings at any time.

3.5 Payment Information

All subscription payments are processed by Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). We do not receive, store, or have access to your credit card or payment details. We only receive confirmation that your subscription is active or inactive.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain BlueprintHQ
• Authenticate your account and keep it secure
• Send blueprints and notifications to the correct people on your project team
• Send transactional emails (account verification, password reset, billing receipts)
• Send service updates (new features, scheduled maintenance) — you can opt out of marketing emails anytime
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats
• Comply with legal obligations
• Improve the product based on aggregate, anonymized usage patterns

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. Ever.

We share information only with these third parties, and only as necessary to operate BlueprintHQ:

• Supabase — our database, authentication, and file storage provider
• Netlify — our website and web app hosting provider
• Apple App Store / Google Play — for subscription payment processing
• Email service providers (such as Brevo) — to send transactional emails
• Analytics providers — to understand how the app is used (anonymized where possible)
• Members of your own project team — when you distribute a blueprint to them, their name appears in the audit log

We may also disclose information if required by law (subpoena, court order), to protect our legal rights, or to prevent harm to users or others.

6. Data Retention

• Account data is kept while your account is active
• Uploaded content (blueprints, projects) is kept while your account is active
• If you cancel or close your account, we retain your data for 30 days in case you want to reactivate, then permanently delete it
• Some records (billing receipts, fraud logs) may be kept longer when required by law

7. Your Privacy Rights

Regardless of where you live, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
• Delete your account and associated data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Opt out of non-essential communications

7.1 California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you live in California, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete your information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights. We do not sell your information, so the right to opt-out of sale doesn't apply.

7.2 European Users (GDPR)

If you live in the European Economic Area, UK, or Switzerland, you have rights under the GDPR including data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Our legal basis for processing is contract performance (providing you the service you signed up for) and legitimate interest (security, fraud prevention).

8. Children

BlueprintHQ is intended for adults (18 and older) using it for business purposes. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If we learn we've collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it.

9. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including:

• HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
• At-rest encryption on database storage
• Row-level security ensuring users only see data they're authorized to see
• Password hashing (we never store plain-text passwords)
• Two-factor authentication available on accounts
• Regular security audits and dependency updates

No security system is perfect. If we discover a data breach affecting your information, we will notify you within 72 hours as required by law.

10. International Data Transfers

BlueprintHQ is operated from the United States. Your data is stored on servers located in the United States. By using the service, you consent to your information being transferred to and processed in the US.

11. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our web app uses essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels for advertising purposes. Our mobile apps do not use cookies but may use similar local storage.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes by email or through an in-app notice at least 30 days before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.
